Several years ago Dr. Rachel and I decided to start building both of our businesses remotely so that we could travel.
So, when Cooper came we decided to parent outside the box and take a trip a month to ensure he was use to a variety of settings.
The result was amazing, and filled with unique experiences…
- The tornado warning in Cannon Beach, Oregon
- The wind storm in Laguna Beach, California
- The snow storm in London
And, last week was no exception. For Ziggy’s one week birthday we packed up and headed down to explore Crater Lake.
We entered the National Park on a day that the rain was hammering down. We headed to see the stunning views only to find the lake covered by rain and clouds.
I’ve been looking forward to this trip for six months. So, I had to decide whether to be totally bummed and feel off track or take a breather and lean into our original intention: Adventure and Play.
And, that’s just what we did. We headed to the gift shop for coffee, started to take a walk, and like magic the clouds dissipated revealing one of the most magical vistas I’ve ever seen.
Business is the same. You have to start with intention because there will always be unexpected issues. You can either stay the course, or feel like life is out to get you.
Monday Mindfulness
Think about your intention in your marketing. Take that intention with you when a challenge presents itself and keep your momentum going.
