I LOVE how Cooper watched you the whole time…completely and totally mesmerized by his daddy!
Husband has the cash down pat. Time for me to do the same. And I used to have a lot of savings accounts for things like travel and somehow that discipline has fallen by the wayside. Will re-employ that.
Thanks for the post!
Love it Donna. It’s often about coming back to the basics.
Nicely done Jason and Cooper!!! I’ve always intuitively kept that back up home savings, but I’ve struggled with actually feeling ok about USING it! Listening to your video and recognizing that this is actually a known strategy was helpful in trusting that I can feel good about using it in needed situations, because that is what its there for. I think in the past anytime we’ve had to dip into the modest savings we have, I’ve always felt like it was some kind of failure or set back. In fact, we should be celebrating our successes that we prevented going into debt by planning ahead. Thanks!
Miss G,
Such a great insight. It’s the cultivating the gratitude that the savings is actually there. It’s not about how much or how little we pull from. It’s a circulation that money comes and goes and when we implement little strategies there is always enough.
