A minute flies by, but so much can happen in a mere 60 seconds.
- Approximately 250 babies will enter the world, while 105 people will make their exit.
- Nike will make a whopping $36,000, while the average citizen make only one penny.
Here’s the thing, if you can learn to maximize your time you can and will create more opportunity for wealth. But, the opposite is not true. You can not create more time, no matter how much wealth you have.
What does this have to do with the success of your business?
Well, there are many ways to be more productive in the time that you have, and many more ways to create a balanced schedule.
Take for instance the insight timer app.
It amazing what a grounding practice affords you in clarity and depth when working with clients. Just a minute of breath work together can make a huge difference.
Here’s what one client has said about the practice:
As one who practices and teaches meditation, I have found it astonishing how powerful that one minute at the beginning of our sessions is. I would normally scoff at anyone telling me they do a one-minute meditation, thinking you need at least that long or longer to simply settle in. But as the bell rings and I know that together, we are each attuning to ourselves and the time ahead, I settle in pretty quickly and shift away from whatever has come before that moment. It’s been so helpful that I’m now starting some of my client sessions the same way – Coach Sharon Rosen
Monday Mindfulness
This week set a timer for one minute to stop, reset, and get clear before moving forward. Like me and my clients, I think you’ll enjoy the power pause to focus throughout your day.
Iris Weaver says
Gosh, I am trying to remember if you did this when we worked together. I think so, but it must have kind of slipped by me. And if it did, it’s because it would make so much sense to me that it would have just been part of the flow of our work together. Thanks for the suggestion, and it is a great one. I know that if someone does this with me, I will have more respect for him/her. Happy Monday!
Jason Stein says
Ha. Yes it was a part of the session and so grateful to hear how seemless it was for you.
Catherine Reid says
Jason, what a great idea.
I already have the Insight Timer, and will use it this morning with my first private Yoga client.
Thanks a bunch,
Catherine
Jason Stein says
You are welcome. I’m guessing your client will appreciate the start of the session.
Larsen Lis says
Valuable, as always. I remember my 60 sec and it made a huge difference in my presence.
It was the sentient moment for me.
Will install the Insight Timer, too.
Jason Stein says
It really is the littlest things that make this biggest difference. Great to hear from you Lis.
