I don’t think I’ve ever met anyone who says, “I love to QUIT.”
Maybe it’s because we can hear a little voice from our childhood saying, “Don’t be a quitter!”
Or, maybe we make it mean something about our character when we quit.
The word itself, quit, comes from Latin and Old French and simply means free & clear.
Wow, imagine, if we could let go of the stigma and find freedom in quitting.
This happened to me the other day at the gym.

Monday Mindfulness
Practice quitting something this week. A relationship not serving you, or a project that is ready to be put aside. Give yourself permission to feel the full freedom of quitting.
Awesome! I do practice quitting what doesn’t serve me. And I don’t think of it as me being a quitter. I think of it as having tried something that didn’t work, having learned something, and choosing to do something else.
Last year I realized that what I was doing in my business, which I had kept repeating, wasn’t working so I decided to stop and take some time to figure out what to do instead.
After a couple of months I started having ideas and am redirecting my business. I’m glad I made that decision to quit doing what wasn’t working!
Great to hear Iris. It’s a practice whom most haven’t found their comfort. Here’s to the practice itself.
You You say it in such a way that it makes perfect sense and gives freedom. Quitting something sometimes opens up space.
Thanks Paula a.k.a. my Mom who has taught me so much about living a healthy life.
